You have got to like the Survivor BOGO episodes. We get two victims for the price of one. This BOGO saw two uncompromising players head for a pit stop on Extinction Island, a place that is getting more and more delightful as the episodes roll on by.

Whether she returns to the game or not Wendy Diaz will go down as a true Survivor original. She is definitely not the best player to ever step foot on the island but her BIG personality and chaotic gameplay are one of a kind.

Based on her unpredictability it is was no surprise that both the Lesu and Manu tribes voted her out rather than draw rocks at the double Tribal Council.

Third time was not the charm for Aubry Bracco who wanted and did hit the ground running…alone. With nobody to play the game with she was left swinging in the wind until that trapdoor was activated for that inevitable drop.

All is not lost for Aubry or Wendy though, next week not only are the tribes merging but everyone on Extinction Island gets a chance to return to the game. This is probably the first of two instances where Extinction Island inhabitants will get an opportunity to win back their spot.

The question is will old alliances carry through? If so the original Kama alliance will have eight members strong and the original Manu tribe will only have four members: David Wright, Kelley Wentworth, Lauren O’Connell and Dan “Wardog” DaSilva.

Which way will the wind blow on Survivor Island? Stay tuned.

Week 5: Game Fail – Aubry Bracco and Wendy Diaz

Wendy and Aubry, you couldn’t find two more diverse Survivor players. Aubry has always been a hardline player, she is very strategic and very focused. Wendy was as reliable as an umbrella made of cheesecloth. She was erratic, impulsive, and the ultimate Survivor wild card. She’s not someone you want to hitch your wagon to in the long run.

Strategic Gameplay

Aubry was as knowledgeable and adept as usual, she just had nobody to back her up.

For Wendy, following her impulses was more important than playing the Survivor game.

Wendy Rating: 1 / 5
Aubry Rating: 3 / 5

Social Gameplay

As a veteran, her tribe relied on Aubry’s experience to get them through the first phase of the game. She was a target because she was a returning player. Other than that, the original Kama treated her well.

Wendy’s fly-by-night attitude irritated the other players however, she did play the part of everyone’s mischievous kid sister.

Wendy Rating: 3 / 5
Aubry Rating: 3 / 5

Entertainment Value

Aubry’s struggles as a returning player and an indomitable player searching for an alliance was a riveting story in the sense that we were never sure if she was going to make a breakthrough or not.

‘Big Wendy’ is one of the most beguiling Survivor players of all time simply because she broke every rule without a care in the world. It was like she has nothing to lose the whole time so she just did whatever to whomever whenever. There hasn’t been such a captivating Survivor character in a long, long time.

Wendy Rating: 5 / 5
Aubry Rating: 3 / 5

Wendy Final Castaway Rating: 9 / 15
Aubry Final Castaway Rating: 9 / 15
