An Unlikely Friendship Forms

Within the acting sphere of mid-20s white dudes, Timothée Chalamet and Pete Davidson couldn’t be any more different. Chalamet is a renowned actor; an up-and-comer with award nominations streaming in after each project. Pete Davidson likes to take shots at his already-down hometown Staten Island.

But, they’re both New York kids, and an unlikely friendship formed. Don’t be surprised, though, because this wouldn’t be the first time Davidson charmed a guest host. After John Mulaney hosted for his first time, he and Pete Davidson were seen palling around. It’s kind of cute, actually, how Davidson – a notorious mess at times – gets the favour of the “passers-by” of SNL.

For him and Chalamet, it all started when they bonded over growing up in New York.

The Bromance Continues

As the show went on, Chalamet and Davidson starred together in another sketch, playing out-of-touch new-school hip hop artists. This sketch also features a real hip hop legend cameo, Questlove. And seeing him lose his mind over these two boys is amazing.

Questlove openhand slapping Pete Davidson is one of the best things to happen this year.

The Chalamet/Davidson pairing didn’t stop there, with the duo playing NY Jets fans in another sketch. It kept going, and the viewers were loving it.

So, the question is, when will Chalamet return, and when he does, can he please be in a Chad sketch with Davidson?
