Oscar Isaac’s First Film

Oscar Isaac impressed audiences with a stellar Saturday Night Live performance. From an anti-Paw Patrol add to forcefully being in Aidy Bryant’s romance fantasy, he went along with the sketches smoothly and humourously. The future Marvel’s Moon Knight and past Star Wars X-Wing pilot is now Saturday Night Live approved! And, he brought a unique treat for those who tuned in.

It was 1989, and a weird 10-year-old Oscar Isaac had a vision. That vision was of a ninja, training to get his revenge. It’s shallow. It’s silly. It’s real, and it’s never been shown in public before.

Self-deprecating celebrities get the best encouragement. This is an embarrassing video for sure. But Oscar Isaac rolled with it, and joined in on the fun. Because you know, everyone was an embarrassing child. And that is exactly his point.

Isaac wrapped his monologue by stating why he shared his hilarious and embarrassing childhood film: kids gotta be weird. Encourage kids to be weird. It’s the weird kids that get to grow up to be in Star Wars and play superheroes in movies. Or at the very least, encouraging kids to be “weird” is just encouraging them to be themselves, and to love what they love unabashedly. It’s such lovely advice to come from an SNL monologue.
