He doesn’t seem like the type, but Oscar Isaac is a big part of many huge fandoms. He’s well known as Poe Dameron, the hot-shot X-Wing pilot from the recent Star Wars trilogy. He’s lent his voice to Spider-Man 2099 in the growing Spider-verse series. Most recently, he was in the cast of the huge sci-fi blockbuster Dune. And next up, he’ll appear in Marvel’s Moon Knight series as the titular hero. All that, while looking like a composite image of every dapper Bond villain ever.

That’s a lot going for him, and any amount of Comicons or Fan Expos he attends simply won’t be enough. And now, he’s joining the longest, most extensive fandom of them all, and being a part of the Saturday Night Live legacy. It’s not a small club, nor is it necessarily that exclusive of one either. Seems like even the most B-list celebrities have had a shot at hosting. But that was the 1980s, and this is now! Now, in the 2020s, where Saturday Night Live clawed and scratched its way up the exclusivity ladder to only have the best, most brightest stars host their 1.5 hours of variety comedy and music, featuring the highest quality sketches about spoiled diner seafood, billionaires dressed as barely-known video game characters, and of course, Pete Davidson’s love life.

But for this weekend, Saturday Night Live has Oscar Isaac 100%. And nothing he’s done before compares to the honour of hosting the best darn show to come out of New York. The same honour bestowed upon the likes of greats like Steve Martin, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sigourney Weaver, and others, like Robert Blake, O.J. Simpson, Matthew Broderick, Alec Baldwin… wow, a lot of these hosts have killed people (allegedly).

But not Oscar Isaac! The only killing he’ll do this weekend, is on stage, broadcast live to you on GlobalTV.com! So tune in this weekend at 11.30 et/8.30 pt!

Saturday Night Live can be streamed live and On Demand on the new Global TV App and on STACKTV. Global is also available through all major TV service providers.
