This weekend, have a ball with Saturday Night Live, hosted by Harry Styles!

Many know him as that guy who left the British sensation boy band One Direction for bigger and better things. And that better thing has finally happened for Harry Styles. Yes, his entire entertainment career has simply be prelude to this weekend. Harry Style will be hosting Saturday Night Live on November 16, as well as performing as musical guest – for the same episode! Why, nobody’s done that since October! No multi-platinum selling albums or starring role in a Christopher Nolan film will overshadow this accolade!

…but all kidding aside, Saturday Night Live is lucky to have such a talent as Harry Styles carrying out multiple roles on this weekend’s episode!

It’s true that Chance the Rapper hosted and performed just two episodes ago, but don’t let the proximity take away from what is a truly an exhausting duty. Kudos to Styles for doing that on his first time hosting.

Though this isn’t his first time on the show, it is his first time hosting. But again, it won’t be his first time on the sketch side of things. Styles was musical guest on the Jimmy Fallon episode in season 42 (April 2017). He also appeared in what is still one of the best and funniest sketches from this decade:

A short appearance as a lousy confederate, but it was funny, wasn’t it? Also, now I bet you miss Bobby Moynihan again. Thought you got over it, did you?

This weekend is sure to be a blast with Harry Styles – it’s been a couple weeks since a new episode of SNL, and after, it will be even longer, until December 21. But don’t worry, SNL got everyone a really great Christmas present this year to make up for it – the host of the December 21 episode is Eddie Murphy, making his hosting on SNL since he left the cast (and his only appearance on the show, save for a short monologue on the 40th Anniversary special). So get pumped for the rest of what SNL has to offer in 2019!
