Saturday Night Live is back! Season 45 of the hottest sketch comedy series ever launches this weekend, with host Woody Harrelson and musical guest Billie Eilish!

It’s been a long, cold summer without Saturday Night Live warming our television sets every Saturday at 11.30 pm. But finally, it’s returned, with one hecker of a season coming up! There’s so much to talk about.

First, let’s welcome the season premier’s guests. Woody Harrelson is hosting, which is amazing because everybody knows his name from his work on Cheers, as well as his film career with such hits as Zombieland, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and of course The Hunger Games. He’s equal parts known for his comedy and drama roles, so he should be a darn good host. Then there’s the musical guest, the young woman with the hottest single around right now: Billie Eilish. You’ve probably heard her smash hit “Bad Guy” in some context, whether on the radio, as suggested on YouTube or a passer-by on the street humming that catchy instrumental hook. If you haven’t heard it: why not? It’s only one of the most popular songs of the decade already. Get on it.

But wait, there are a few more people to welcome! Firstly, congrats to Chris Redd and Heidi Gardner to full-time cast members! Redd and Gardner have made big waves over their past two seasons on SNL, and it will be great to see more of them on screen. In addition, two new cast members have been added to the Featured Players stable: comedians Chloe Fineman (formerly of The Groundlings) and Bowen Yang (formerly of the SNL writers room). Get excited to see what these two bring to the team.

Even before its season premier, though, Saturday Night Live had made a bit of news announcing its new players. There was a third – comedian Shane Gillis – who was promptly dismissed after it came apparent that Gillis unabashedly and publicly shared his problematic (ie racist and homophobic) views (sorry Shane Gillis, but… actually not sorry, there’s no room for your terrible discourse on TV anymore so good freaking riddance).

Not returning to Saturday Night Live is cast member Leslie Jones, who announced her departure last month. She will be missed!

Be sure to tune into Saturday Night Live this Satuday on Global at 11.30et/8.30pt, as well as throughout the upcoming season! What a list of guest hosts for the first five episodes already: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, David Harbour, Kristen Stewart and finally, the triumphant return (FINALLY) of Eddie Murphy!

Don’t miss Woody Harrelson on Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Billie Eilish. Watch Saturday Night Live this Saturday March 30 at 11.30 et/8.30 pt on Global. Don’t miss it!
