It is one of the most powerful advantages in the history of Survivor and it is in the hands of a Canadian. Erika Casupanan, the communications manager from Toronto, has the fate of 11 other players in her hands.

Exiled to an island as the other castaways were divided into two tribes, Erika has an important decision to make. She can reverse history, take away the Blue Tribe’s immunity and give it to the Yellow Tribe or she can leave everything as is.

Complicating things is the fact that the Blue Tribe is almost entirely made up of former Luvu members.

What Erika doesn’t appear to know from the edit is that her former Luvu tribemates are already lined-up to vote her out just as they were back when there were three tribes in the game.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger without a tribal council vote and Erika still pondering her crucial decision.

To me, it would seem to be a no-brainer when one considers how many tribemates Erika has on one side. To reverse time, she would be stabbing four allies in the back when there are two easy outs for the Blue Tribe in Evvie and Ricard. I predict that Erika will not smash the hourglass and keep her Luvu friends happy and content. Her move will probably buy her some goodwill and give her some time to rescue her game while Eevie and Ricard are on the chopping block if and only if the castaways remain divided into two tribes.

The dynamics of the Yellow Tribe is a bit more complicated with the Ua and Yase alliance of Shan and Liana. Tiffany’s assertion that she no longer trusts Liana might be a big indication that the tribal politics at Yellow are about to change. Tiffany, who doesn’t dominate challenges, might be better off aligning with Zander and someone she might share a stronger bond with in Heather. Heather is 52 and Tiffany is 47. It might benefit them both to unite.

Another layer at Yellow has Liana not being really happy at all with Shan spilling the beans about Liana’s special advantage-stealing power to everyone. That may cause a rift between the two which might be easy for Tiffany, Heather and Zander to exploit since they are already aware that Liana and Shan have worked together in the past and are perhaps working together now. They have to be considered a clear and present threat to the others.

How will this cliffhanger end?

Stay tuned, folks.

Ricard putting Shan on the spot about the advantage gave Shan a reason to not only doubt him but a reason to throw him under the bus.

Liana not telling Yase about her advantage has hurt the faith others have in her.

Tiffany

Tiffany is already maneuvering around the new circumstances well and evolving her game. It was also revealed that Tiffany has a strong social game this episode.

Xander

Xander knows he is in danger. He is building a shield and a support system.

Danny not only worked hard at the challenge but back at camp getting all his ducks in a row, planning for the future.
