The Late Show with Stephen Colbert welcomed back Seth Rogen last night, who came with some deliciously braggadocios Republican roast stories.

Comedic actor Seth Rogen is well known for his friendly aggressiveness – he happily enjoys expressing how angry he is, or how much he hates something. He brought that to the table after mentioning Mitt Romney invited him to speak at a bi-partisan mental health conference. Since he has an Alzheimer’s charity, Rogen took the opportunity to share his knowledge and views to a largely Republican audience.

Of course, he had fans approach him while there. Two in particular caught his attention – two teen boys, who wanted a picture, which he obliged. Then, their dad showed up.

That’s right, Seth Rogen was asked for a picture by Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and Rogen flat-out refused. That must have felt pretty good – because, obviously, and also he just went with it! Don’t feel bad, Seth. Somebody needed to tell him sometime, regardless of whether or not his kids were witness.

Rogen must have been on a roll that night, because when he took the stage, he zeroed in on the guy who must have been the easiest target in the room: The Mooch. Yes, that Mooch, Anthony Scaramucci, the 11-day-post-Spicer White House director of communications.

It makes you wonder: is The Mooch really that brainless, that he completely misinterpreted that interaction, or is he just that much of a weasel that he took that slight opportunity to get an in with Seth Rogen? Maybe The Mooch is a much more appropriate nickname for him after all.

If you didn’t already know, Seth Rogen fancies himself a Canadian. And he really fancies himself an avid marijuana advocate. So he was delighted by this week’s news, that Canada has become the second country in the world to legalize recreational marijuana.

Nobody is surprised by that, Rogen is the poster boy for new-school pot smoking. Just look at it this way: Kevin Smith claims that he became of stoner because of Seth Rogen’s influence. He wouldn’t touch the stuff, even after filming five films with Jason Mewes, but all it took was one film with Seth Rogen. That says a lot.

To cap off Seth Rogen’s surprisingly political Late Show visit, Stephen brought up Rogen’s 2012 film The Interview, wherein a megalomaniac TV host is invited to meet Kim Jong Un, and is fooled into thinking he’s a good person. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it happened a couple of weeks ago.
