Welcome Anne Hathaway back to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after a long but productive time away doing other things!

Annie Get Your Gown

…because, believe it or not, people have lives outside of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show.

The last time Anne Hathaway was on Stephen’s Late Show was three years ago, when she was cooking up a bouncing baby Hathaway. And because of that brand-new life, who is now nearly three years old, she had ripped her pants before appearing on The Late Show. Twice, actually. In the same day, before The Late Show. What a test of commitment.

But (pun intended) Hathaway made her appearance without rip or tear, and hopefully the child she was carrying did the same when it came time.

The Leto Method

Hathaway’s co-star from her upcoming miniseries WeCrashed is Jared Leto. Leto is infamous, notorious and borderline villainously known for taking the method acting approach to his roles, and as sometimes reported to the detriment of his colleagues. Hathaway didn’t have much negative to say about it, but she graciously worded around what most people in the room might have been thinking, had they heard about his antics on the set of Suicide Squad.

All that said, she claims to have never really met the man. At least, not out of character, until very recently. Though, there was one time she mentioned, that she was able to force Leto’s real persona to the surface, simply by reminding the man that he’s an actor in other films.

Hathaway herself dabbled in some method for WeCrashed. To perfectly get into character, she took up being a vegan. Well, for as long as she could.

Hand it to her, because burgers are delicious and hard to stay away from.

Tune in to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airing weeknights at 11.35 et/pt on Global, and watch the latest episodes and clips online here on GlobalTV.com or the Global TV App!
