Stevie is back with all new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after a lengthy holiday hiatus. Two weeks without Colbert is a long time and it’s the winter hiatus that is the longest hiatus to plague The Late Show‘s audience. But all that’s over now!

Stephen has come back with a bang – he’s been doing this long enough, he can jump right back into the flow. He did his usual roasting of Trump and his blunders for the first half of the show, then welcomed Superstore‘s hilarious and talented America Ferrera, who had such a lovely new year’s announcement.

It was baby fever at The Late Show, but no need to call the pediatrician for there weren’t any actual babies with actual fevers. That would be a ratings disaster. Instead, there was America Ferrera and Stephen Colbert discussing what to name her baby – and if she would consider a landmass/concept-type name akin to her own.

If you aren’t in the know, Superstore is a hilarious comedy starring Ferrera as well as Ben Feldman, Nico Santos, Nichole Bloom, Colton Dunn, and Canadians Lauren Ash and Mark McKinney! You can catch a new episode tonight, January 4 at 8.00 et/pt (and subsequent Thursdays) on Global. Also, being in its third season, there’s an enjoyable amount of content to catch up on if you aren’t already familiar with the joy of Superstore.

Back to Ferrera: she’s just a great person all around. Notably, she is an activist for women’s rights and against sexual harassment in all its forms. She is instrumental in launching the Time’s Up campaign, a campaign against the aforementioned harassment, focusing on helping victims find justice in the eyes of the law.

Ferrera was also a speaker at last year’s Women’s March – it’s been almost a year since the worldwide protest occurred on January 21 2017. It’s difficult not to side with her on this issue, as she speaks so passionately and positively about it. A lot of dominoes have been placed and the current president’s campaign started knocking them down, leading to the Women’s March, as well as the recent outings of sexual predators across many different industries.

That’s an adorable onesie, by the way.

Be sure to Catch more of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airing weeknights at 11.35 et/pt on Global, and Superstore Thursdays at 8.00 et/pt, or watch the latest episodes on GlobalTV.com!
