Either Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier or Xavier Prather will be this season’s Big Brother USA winner and the very first African American winner in 23 seasons.

Kyland Young, the 29-year-old account executive from California, was voted out by Derek on Thursday’s eviction show.

Winning both Head of Household and the Power of Veto, Xavier decided to leave his nominations the same thus putting Derek in the hot seat.

“Let me first say that on a personal level I love you Azah and I love you Kyland. On a game level I have made it clear since the very beginning that I owe nobody anything. I played this game solely for myself. At this point, I cast my vote to evict Kyland,” said Derek as he cast his vote.

Things then got heated between a belligerent Kyland and Xavier.

“Any reason?” Kyland asked Xavier as he prepared to leave the house.

“It is just the game,” replied Xavier shrugging his shoulders.

“I just don’t understand notice,” said Kyland wanting to know why Xavier didn’t give him a heads-up that he was being voted out.

Derek explained that he cannot beat Kyland so he would rather face Azah in the finals.

“I am wondering why there was no heads-up from THIS guy. I kept you in the house last week,” said Kyland standing directly in front of Xavier.

“It is just how the game goes, Kyland,” said Xavier once again. “I wanted to give you a heads-up but I respect you too much as a player and given that he was the sole vote to evict I knew you would probably convince him to vote another way.”

Out of nowhere Kyland then brought up Xavier’s nephew.

“I thought the whole Kobe thing, raising him to be a man and face challenges,” said Kyland.

“Are you talking about my nephew right now?” said a surprised Xavier.

Kyland continued needling Xavier live on national television. Kyland said that Xavier’s nephew is named after Kobe Bryant and Kobe never backed down from a challenge.

“I would suggest you stop talking about my nephew,” answered Xavier sternly.

“I think that’s not really up to me. If your nephew has nobody to look up to…” continued Kyland.

“Keep talking about my nephew, Kyland,” warned a now angry Xavier cutting Kyland off.

“Your nephew has nobody to look up to in order to raise him,” said Kyland pushing things even further.

Xavier told him to leave the house. A laughing Kyland finally headed out after being instructed to do so by host Julie Chen-Moonves.

On a special episode of Big Brother USA on Friday night at 8 PM ET the final three will hear from their families. On Sunday’ episode the first round of the final HoH of the season will play out. The finale of Big Brother USA will air next Wednesday at 9 PM ET on Global.
