Rick Devens’ Wife Has a Message for His Critics

Rick Devens’ wife Becca is thanking fans for defending her and the drama her husband is creating in the Big Brother house with his HoH reign.

“I appreciate all of you standing up for me but please don’t worry,” she began in an X post.

“I told Rick to go be crazy and enjoy the ride and that’s exactly what he’s doing,” she confirmed.

She then reassured everyone that whatever criticism is posted on social media doesn’t affect her day-to-day life.

“This is a game. I am having fun watching it all unfold and I assure you the internet’s opinions are not keeping me up at night,” she wrote.

She then added that people seem generally concerned about her but there is a different between reality tv and the reality of the outside world.

She commented on his gameplay to another reader: “I think he’s playing reckless because he likes to have fun. I do think if he were not HOH he would have lied low for longer. He didn’t even mean to be HOH. He definitely would love to win this game!”.

A few days ago, she posted this to reiterate her stand on his gameplay:

1. Rick IS a grown ass man.
2. I totally understand being angry with him for messing up your game.
3. We aren’t ready for him to come home yet. His family is here helping me with the kids.
4. He is playing hard because he’s HOH. I think he would have lied low longer if not.
5. Can we please have a moment of appreciation for Drew who is apparently in EVERY GROUP and loved by literally everyone!!??

She also explained how big an effect social media had on her during his first season of Survivor.

“His first season of Survivor broke me and rebuilt me. I have learned to tune out the people who do not know his heart like I do. Thank you so much for your advice but also please don’t worry about me! I’m an old lady with experience now,” she wrote.

Rick Devens has appeared on Survivor: Edge of Extinction, finishing in 4th place. He returned last season and placed 7th on Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.
