Survivor castaway Kamilla Karthigesu claims former contestant Johnny Fairplay has accused her and other outspoken Survivor 50 female players of “ruining” the season due to their criticism of how they are being edited.

Karthigesu told GlobalTV.com that while she was at a viewing party hosted by Fairplay, he approached her.

“I actually ran into Johnny Fairplay last night. One of the things he told me was, ‘Stop doing this! You guys are ruining Survivor! You guys are ruining Season 50!’” she said.

Surprised by his comment, Karthigesu asked Fairplay to clarify what he meant.

“This stuff you guys are doing, talking about how the edit hates women,” he replied.

Still stunned, Karthigesu says she answered, “That is a wild extrapolation. We’re talking about gender inequality and you’re now saying that we’re saying that the edit HATES women?”

According to Karthigesu, Fairplay doubled-down on his accusation.

“Just stop. What you guys and Angelina are doing is ruining the season,” she says he said.

“That is a crazy thing to say to me,” Karthigesu says she replied.

Karthigesu stated that Fairplay returned later on in the evening and tried to walk back his comments.

“He was saying, ‘Oh, Kamilla, you’re such a great player. I love you. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,’” she said.

“‘Sorry I ruined the season for you,’” Karthigesu says she commented back to him.

Fairplay claimed he never mentioned her ruining the season.

“You told me earlier today that me and Angelina were ruining Survivor 50 for everyone,” she said to him.

According to Kamilla, Fairplay said he was just joking and then asked her to sign a bunch of autographs for him.

Fairplay, a pro-wrestler, manager, and reality show contestant, appeared on Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor: Micronesia. He is infamous for lying about the death of his grandmother and his tributes to “Nature Boy” Ric Flair on the series. On the reality show front, he was last seen on House of Villains and finished in fourth place.

Several of Survivor 50’s female castaways have been publicly criticizing the edit in interviews and on social media saying that unlike the men, their strategic, gameplay moments are being left on the cutting room floor.

Survivor Angelina Keeley told GlobalTV.com last week: “It’s not even just my story. I’m super disappointed in the lack of seeing Tiffany, hearing from Kamilla, the negativity around Chrissy, not hearing her story. Where’s Dee? Where are the women? There are a lot of women contestants this season who are not happy with the way the show’s going. I hope they course-correct for us 12 who showed up and gave it all, as Jeff asked, and now I ask them to do better.”
