He is the Sole Survivor…beyond a reasonable doubt.

Kyle Fraser, the 31-year-old lawyer from Brooklyn, New York, emerged from the shadows to become the winner of Survivor 48.

Kamilla, Mitch, Shauhin, David and Chrissy voted for Kyle to be the Sole Survivor. Mary and Star cast their votes for Eva Erickson, the PhD candidate, to win. Cedrek was the only vote for Joe Hunter, the fire captain, to take home the million d0llar prize.

“It is incredible! This game has pushed me to my limits. It was every single day but it was exactly what I wanted. Mitch said it best. This game makes you feel uncomfortable and I cannot tell you how great uncomfortable feels. I am so happy to represent this season!” said Kyle to host, producer Jeff Probst.

Mitch Guerra, the P.E. coach, was the first finalist to be voted out when Kamilla Karthigesu, the software engineer from California and Kyle’s partner, won immunity.

Kyle won the final immunity challenge. He elected to take Joe with him to the jury and sent Eva and Kamilla to fire-making. Kamilla and Kyle both agreed that they couldn’t face final tribal together if either of them wanted to win. Kamilla became the last member of the jury when she failed to beat Eva.

At the final tribal, alliance mates Joe and Eva found it difficult to explain how their games were any different while Kyle scored major points when blindsided everyone by confessing that he was the mastermind behind Shauhin’s eviction and detailed how he manipulated things from the shadows with Kamilla and their undercover alliance.

Jeff Probst not only gave fans a preview of Survivor 49 which appeared to have a pirate theme similar to Survivor: Pearl Islands but he revealed that the Survivor 50 cast will be announced on CBS Mornings on May 28th.
