Ten underdogs will face ten superstars in the next season of Survivor. The David Tribe are those who “have overcome adversity in their lives” and “are often forced to rely on their secret weapons and use these advantages to overcome adversity”. The Goliath Tribe are players who “tend to capitalize on their individual advantages and use it against their opponents” and “often have visible advantages, and they capitalize on them to ensure success”.

 

The highlights of the David Tribe include: Christian Hubicki, a robotic scientist. Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen,  a professional MMA fighter who has a 4-2 record. She left home at 15, was involved in an abusive relationship and was homeless at 22-years-old. Recently she lost a challenge to Jayme Hinshaw’s King of the Cage Women’s World Atomweight Championship. And there is Jessica Peet, a 19-year-old waitress who has apologized for her controversial Tweets ahead of this season.

 

The standouts on the Goliath Tribe are: John Hennigan, who pro wrestling fans know as John Morrison, Johnny Impact and Johnny Mundo. He is a former WWE – ECW World Champion, a three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and four-time WWE Tag Team Champion. As well as his singles run in WWE, he is known for being part of the MNM tag team with Joey Mercury. Morrison has also starred in movies such as Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and Hercules Reborn in which he played the title role. He also appeared in the TV shows Shameless, Days of Our Lives, Baby Daddy and GLOW. Alec Merlino and Kara Kay who got into hot water over appearing on social media together. Mike White, a veteran actor and filmmaker who appeared in movies Zombieland, School of Rock and wrote School of Rock, Nacho Libre, The Emoji Movie and episodes of Dawson’s Creek and Freaks and Geeks. He also appeared on Season 14 of The Amazing Race. He and his father finished sixth.

 

Survivor: David vs. Goliath was filmed in Fiji and premieres with a special 90-minute episode on Wednesday, September 26 at 8 et/pt on Global.
