Stephen welcomed back Sofia Vergara to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, and she brought with her a slew of underwear and forgotten words.

Sofia Vergara, is widely known for her role as Gloria in the sitcom Modern Family, coming to Global this fall. The last time she was on, she brought with her some underwear from her women-empowering underwear company EBY, and this time was no different – well, not a whole lot different. The size and style of underwear she brought was pretty different.

Aside from bringing with her a box of patterned undergarments, she also brought her vacation stories. Still on vacation, actually, Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello finished the first part of it in Italy, where they did what we all assume Italians sit around doing all day: they ate loads of pasta.

Sounds like a great way to spend time, actually.

Vergara was on The Late Show promoting her new film (in which she starred with husband Manganiello) Bottom of the 9th. She seemed so very excited about it. So excited, in fact, that she forgot what it is about. Well, she forgot the word for what it is about. It’s no secret that Vergara’s first language isn’t English – she’s very easy to understand but her Colombian accent is thick. But when it came to Bottom of the 9th, she was nervous, or excited, or something, enough to the extent that she felt she had to write the film’s main theme on her hand.

What a delightfully endearing quirk!

Vergara’s presence was a light in the room – she brings such an illuminating energy to wherever she is. Hopefully, she has many more Late Shows in her to come. Watch Sophia Vergara, Wednesdays this fall on Global.
