Last night, star and co-creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Rachel Bloom joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The musical-comedy series has made waves, receiving many nominations and awards (with Bloom receiving the Best Performance Golden Globe last year!) and high critical praise. Rachel Bloom, the leading creative force behind Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, is quite the talent, and more – the gracious Bloom painted each of her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-stars onto her finger nails, in the event that she won another Golden Globe this year:

 

Comedy wasn’t always her bag, though. Surprise surprise, it was musical theatre (note: that’s not much of a surprise if you’ve seen Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). But that’s a high-stress world, not that comedy isn’t… well, to her it seemed like the obvious choice:
