The Debates So Far

Election 2020 has been unusual to say the least. Not only is it an extremely volatile and tense race that feels like it has a lot riding on it, but it’s also been in the midst of the world-changing pandemic that we are all currently suffering through. This has caused ‘some issues’, to say the very least. Most relevant being the cancellation of the second debate. It was scheduled to take place on October 15 but was cancelled due to Donald Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis on Oct0ber 2. Instead, two separate town halls were broadcast for each candidate. At the same time. On different networks. Yes, Joe Biden drew in more viewers. Yes, that had Trump steamed.

The Final Debate

Because their first debate was a free-for-all, measures have been taken to make sure the boys play by the rules this time around (it’s for both boys, on record, but we all know it’s for Trump). When each candidate is answer the questions directed at them, the other candidates microphone will be muted. Yes, Trump has already played up being a victim to this rule. And yes, the rule is there because he wouldn’t stop talking, to the point that Biden infamously said ‘them fightin’ words’:

While Biden is ahead in the polls, it’s still anyone’s game. It’s a tense and stressful race.
