Big Brother 20 Spoilers: Landmark Season Premieres With High-Tech Twists

The Big Brother 20 game has received an upgrade.
The 20th anniversary season of Big Brother launched taking full advantage of its high-tech theme.
On the very first day of the game a pair of houseguests have already had their games short-circuited. In a series of competitions right out of the gate one houseguest won a special power while two were dealt punishments.
At the conclusion of several challenges it was Chris “Swaggy C” Williams who was awarded the power to save eight of the 16 houseguests but the catch was he could only choose from the initial houseguest move-in groups.
“So this decision is very hard. I thought about it a long time,” said Swaggy before announcing his picks.
After hearing everyone out, Swaggy C elected to save himself, Rockstar, Brett, Rachel, Scottie, Haleigh, Kaycee and Faysal.
“As for the rest of you, one of you will be the first houseguest evicted this summer. Needless to say, there is a lot riding on the first Head of Household competition,” announced host Julie Chen.
The first HoH competition will air on the second part of the Big Brother season premiere.
For coming in last during the competitions Kaycee Clark and Sam Bledsoe suffered punishments. Kaycee was outfitted with a rainbow leotard and the Pinwheel of Doom. Anytime the pinwheel activates Kaycee cannot leave the room she is in until it stops spinning. Sam has to switch out with a robot version of herself which she provides the voice for and can see into the house using the robot’s cameras.
The punishments could prove disastrous as the first week of the competition is the time to build bonds, alliances and fit in with the rest of the house. Next to the final jury vote it is the time when a player’s social game is the most important.
RoboSam is taking it all in stride though.
“At least I don’t have to worry about my make-up,” RoboSam joked to Rachel in the bathroom.
Host Julie Chen also announced the new BB App Store twist. Each week, the Houseguest who gets the most responses will be considered “trending” and allowed to enter the BB App Store, resulting in power apps or punishments that could crash their game. Once a Houseguest wins a power app or punishment they are ineligible to receive another one. Each player has 10 votes while the polls are open. To find out more, click here.
