The Big Brother houseguests didn’t need to hit 88 miles per hour nor did they need a Flux Capacitor. Their time-travelling adventure has begun and so has their summer-long battle for $750,000.

As some had guessed when only 14 houseguests were announced during this week’s “Broveal”, there are three more players joining the cast of season 28 as was revealed on the season premiere.

In separate challenges to determine who would be safe from the vote this week, Angela Murray from Big Brother 26 and Rick Devens from Survivor 38 and 50 became houseguests. Survivor host Jeff Probst appeared during one of the segments delivering a message to a Survivor player who would be “perfect” for Big Brother: Rick Devens.

Big Brother veteran Rachel Reilly who appeared last season returned only to be pushed into a volcano by a dinosaur. Yup, that happened.

Yash Patel. Photo: Matthew Taplinger Courtesy: CBS.It was up to host Julie Chen-Moonves to find a replacement but who could it be? The only clue is that Julie went back to December 20th, 2023. That is the exact date when Season 45 of the U.S. version of Survivor ended.

Dee Valladares won Survivor 45.

Whether is it Dee or not, the replacement houseguest, Devens and Angela will battle to be this season’s first Head of Household.

We will perhaps find out the answers to those questions on the season premiere of Big Brother: Unlocked on Friday, July 10 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) or the 90-minute Sunday episode (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT).

The houseguests who won safety during those challenges were:

Jack “Rome” Seymour: The pickleball coach from Florida.
Chuk Anyanwu: The supply chain analyst from Texas.
Jason De Puy: The drag queen and RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant.
