The omnipotent Dungeon Master was transformed into humble player this season. Like any great Dungeons and Dragons adventure Keanu faced great beasts, shattered alliances and brutal betrayals on Big Brother. Keanu definitely proved he is a level 20 Personal Trainer with his one HoH win, four PoV wins and two Block Buster wins but that came at a cost. He never advanced beyond being a first level Diplomat as his social game was no better than an Orc’s.

We chatted with Kean before he gathered up his dice and character sheet, heading off to his next great adventure: The Jury House of Elemental Evil.

John Powell via CBS: Your Big Brother journey mirrored Drizzt from the Forgotten Realms. As you mentioned you kept trusting all the wrong people. Which betrayal hurt the most and why?

Keanu Soto: Hold up! Who’s whose questions are these?

CBS: This is from Global TV, one of our Canadian outlets.

Keanu Soto: Whoever they got writing these questions they need to get they need to get a raise! Repeat the question one more time again. I heard Drizzt and I was like…Whoa!

Keanu Soto: My journey mirrored Drizzt, that’s really good! I like your guy’s questions! I’m going be honest with you and I didn’t entirely believe it, I don’t know if I still do, but when Rachel put Riley up and he left, I was very, very sad to see him go. Even more sad afterwards when I found out that he was targeting me. Obviously you guys know I haven’t seen the season yet so I’m very curious to go back and watch and see if he was actually targeting me or if he was just saying that because everyone else was saying that.

John Powell: Very much like Kitiara in the Dragonlance series, Rachel was your ally and your sworn enemy. What was it like working with her and was she a good Big Brother coach to you?

Keanu Soto: Oh, man. Our relationship was quite a bit like oil and water. It was hard to it was definitely hard to match especially because we were working with outside of each other. We were working with people that were on the opposite sides of the house that always made it very difficult. She was a great she was a great coach and you know what I did?

I did learn a lot from her but as is typical for me personally, especially growing up you always have mentors or parents that are always trying to teach you and make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes they do. In typical Keanu Soto fashion I felt the need to make those mistakes myself and here I am in fifth place.

John Powell: Just like attacking a blue dragon with a lightning spell is a bad move, nobody can afford to be distracted during an endurance competition. Lead us through what led to your demise during the secret Sanctum Showdown.

Keanu Soto: Oh, my goodness! Man! First of all, your guy’s questions are amazing! These are really good! Wow!

My demise in the secret Sanctum competition? Vince and I, we talked in the gym before that. He had saved me in a tiebreaker vote against Kelley which was why I was left in the house after the double eviction. That singular move on his end? Kudos to him as it allowed me to really finally trust him.

When it was just us two in the Sanctum left I felt I was good no matter what. Funny thing is that Rachel did tell me that the final five HoH is the most important one to win because the final four veto is the most important veto to win. In that moment. I was like: ‘Well, if I’m good anyway, why wouldn’t I just guarantee my safety next week?’. Hopefully the final three HoH and then having back-to-back HoHs on my resume is going to be way more bad ass than having just, you know, three in general. I think I got a little too ahead of myself there and obviously made the wrong move because I’m having this interview.

John Powell: Congrats on making so many saving throws. You saved yourself with win after win. What was it like playing the game though knowing that if you lost the next Block Buster or Veto you were going home

Keanu Soto: Oh man, the old saving throws, huh? That’s funny. It was hard It was really exhilarating. Honestly, I would not go back and change anything about that part of it. Constantly having my life on the line? I don’t know how others handle pressure but I like to think that I’ve ironed that out of out of me.

Being able to handle pressure well is something that I thrive on and just just having the ability to do that it may have created a larger target on my back which may not be good in Big Brother terms but it definitely made gave me a lot more confidence. Once I got the butler punishment from Ava’s HoH week that was really like my saving grace. I was able to focus on my social game. When I finally saved myself on that Block Buster that gave me the ability to kind of round out my game as a whole there. I hope that answered the question.

John Powell: You have found a Magic Scroll of Divination. Who do you hope follows you to the jury house, and why?

Keanu Soto: Oh, man, a Magic Scroll of Divination? Ooh! Who do I hope comes after me in the jury house? Well, um, you know, no hard feelings, but it’s hard to hard to forgive someone who stabbed you in the back a couple times, especially once Rachel left the game. I would have liked to have sat next to Vince so if he follows me here I wouldn’t be upset about it.
