Zach Cornell’s return on investment on Big Brother didn’t work out the way he had planned.
The 27-year-old marketing manager from Georgia only received two votes to stay on tonight’s eviction episode. Rachel and Will, who Zach rewarded with a trip during this week’s Power of Veto competition, were the only ones who voted to send Vince home and not Zach.
Best buds Vince and Zach were forced to face off on the block together when Keanu won the Block Buster competition earning his safety once again.
Zach did have the Big Brother Buyout power. He won $10,000 for finding host Julie Chen-Moonves on the very first episode of the season. He could have traded that to HoH Ava for his safety forcing her to nominate someone else for eviction at the Veto Meeting. Zach didn’t as he feared his ally Morgan would go on the block in his place. Julie Chen-Moonves playfully swatted Zach with a cue card for making a terrible decision and not saving his own game.
“Two people from my alliance would have still been on the block. I hoped to risk that and after this week me, Morgan, Mickey and Vince could roll together and could use the power then. I know I was taking a huge gamble,” he explained to Chen-Moonves.
