Abigail Deveraux has been a beloved character for Days Of Our Lives fans, proving to be a young character with longevity. The actress who currently plays Abigail, Marci Miller, has chosen not to renew her contract, and leave the show to pursue other acting roles. Instead of filling the role with a new actress, Days is welcoming back Kate Mansi who played the role from 2011 – 2016. There’s no doubt Kate Mansi is talented, considering she won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2017.

Why Mansi left the role in the first place isn’t known, but the actress has since been open about her struggle with depression and anxiety, which she wrote about in an emotional blog post.  After leaving the show, Kate has been involved with the organization Bring Change 2 Mind, which campaigns to end the stigma around mental health.
