Two Canadians are joining in on the “adventure of a lifetime” to claim the million dollar prize.

Survivor returns to Global TV on Wednesday, September 24 with a two hour premiere and with 18 castaways competing for the title of Sole Survivor.

Among them are is a correctional officer from Alberta, a global events manager from Toronto and the former VP of Production & Development at Marvel Studios, Nate Moore.

Survivor will shift to 90-minute weekly episodes beginning October 1st.

As per the cast announcement, two of these players will be returning next season for Survivor 50.

Host and producer Jeff Probst has revealed that Jason Treul and Michelle ‘MC’ Chukwujekwu were alternates who were upgraded to players just 12 hours before the game, experience was to begin when two castaways were found to be communicating with each other on the island pre-season. That is against the rules of the game. They were therefore disqualified.

Here are the new castaways:
