Battle of the Greats: Ranking the Survivor 50 Cast
A clash of Survivor titans is coming our way. Survivor 50 is almost here gathering together an assorted mix of players. We have challenge powerhouses, social butterflies and strategic masterminds all ready to prove they are the Ultimate Survivor. Here is our official power rankings.
Take note, this is not a list of who we think will finish where but their standing as a player heading into Survivor 50.
Survivor 50 debuts February 25 at 8:00 PM ET on Global TV.
The Apex Predators

Dee Valladares
Winner of Survivor 45
Dee is the classic example of a well-balanced Survivor player. She controlled much of the 45 game facing limited opposition. The hurdle she faces is that everyone is aware of her game, how she played the last time. She is going into the game as a massive threat to everyone and anyone.

Cirie Fields
Fourth: Panama
Third: Micronesia
Seventeenth: Heroes vs. Villains
Sixth: Game Changers
Her track record speaks for itself. She has come close to winning on three different occasions. That isn’t a fluke. That isn’t stupid luck. She is a very strong player in every regard, except when it comes to the challenges. She will also be very popular with this cast. That could play highly into her favour.

Savannah Louie
Winner of 49
The one advantage she has over the others is they don’t know much about her Survivor past. However, Savannah can be an abrasive personality as she readily admits. The question is what impression will she make on the veteran players she is competing against. Since it is such a highly charged season with so many egos on the line, I can see Savannah not being welcomed or embraced by the others.

Coach Wade
Fifth Place: Tocantins
Twelve Place: Heroes vs. Villains
Runner-Up of South Pacific
Coach has all the skills to win a season of Survivor. During South Pacific he improved, refined all aspects of his game except he refused to lay claim the some of the controversial moves that he made.

Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick
Seventh: Palau
Runner-Up of Guatemala
Nineteenth: Heroes vs. Villains
One of my personal faves of all-time. She has it all as a player but her last outing was a disaster. Her biggest strength though is her physical and mental endurance.

Chrissy Hofbeck
Runner-Up of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers
A challenge beast, Chrissy wasn’t too shabby when it came to the strategic game either. It is the social part of the game that stung her in the end. Perhaps it was her actuary background but she couldn’t connect with people as well as others did.

Kyle Fraser
Winner of Survivor 48
During his season Kyle had a lot of support from the jury. He had fantastic relationships and proved to be adept at moving through the ever-changing relationships as well as managing all the different egos.

Aubry Bracco
Runner-Up of: Kaôh Rōng
Fifth: Game Changers
Fifteenth: Edge of Extinction
Some describe her as the best player to never win but the fact remains that Aubry hasn’t been able to replicate the strategic strength she displayed during Kaôh Rōng.

Charlie Davis
Runner-Up of Survivor 46
Charlie is a clever, devious player. He knows when to make moves and when to sit back, allow others to drive the bus. He has that kind of social game where his image minimizes his threat level. He is far more dangerous than he appears.
The Navigators

Joe Hunter
Runner-Up: Survivor 48
He is definitely one of the most beloved players in Survivor history and with good reason. His mistake on 48 were his reactions when under pressure or when his grip on the game was slipping. He is a loyal ally but will the number of authority figures on the island play havoc with his game or will he fall in line if need be?

Ozzy Lusth
Runner-Up of Cook Islands
Ninth Place: Micronesia
Fourth: South Pacific
Twelfth: Game Changers
The challenge beast improved his social bonds the last time he was on the island. Ozzy’s fatal flaw.

Genevieve Mushaluk
Fifth place: Survivor 47
The longer she is left in the game the more dangerous she becomes. Those who have been paying attention will know how she manipulated relationships during 47 and that could make her a massive target right out of the gate. She has to gain people’s trust immediately.

Kamilla Karthigesu
Fourth Place: Survivor 48
She is a the proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. Like Genevieve if she makes in-roads she may be very hard to get rid of.

Rizo Velovic
Fourth: Survivor 49
Rizo played with a lot of gusto and ego last season. I don’t think that approach on this kind of season with these kinds of personalities is going to fly. If he cannot rein himself in he might be in for a short stay. If he play the part of the “kid brother” he might have a decent chance.

Rick Devens
Fourth: Edge of Extinction
He cannot seem to shake the aura that he is a snake or at least untrustworthy. He can bring it though when everything is on the line and that could be a difference-maker in this very competitive season.

Mike White
Runner-Up in David vs. Goliath
He makes far better TV shows than he makes a Survivor player. What was with the ick between brothers last season on White Lotus, Mike? Ugh. He finished second by bolstering his strategic game in the final phase of David vs. Goliath. The problem is before then he was barely there coasting on a social game.
The Drifters

Angelina Keeley
Runner-Up on David vs. Goliath
Plain and simple, her social game just sucked. Her fellow players believed she was duplicitous. Like Genevieve, she screams RED ALERT! Stepping on the island.

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty
Eighth : Borneo
Third: All-Stars
Jenna is a nice enough person. Don’t let that fool you though as managing alliances and all of those different egos is her strong suit. That can take you far in the game if you are with the right people.

Christian Hubicki
Seventh place: David Versus Goliath
Another very popular player with fans and other contestants that popularity can also been seen as a threat to win the game. Will his luck hold out as it did on David versus Goliath?

Emily Flippen
Seventh: 45
When I last spoke to her Emily she had no interest in playing Survivor ever again.
She told me: “I’m flattered if anybody wants to see me back. I think the short answer is probably no and that’s only because the Emily that existed especially during episode one is really hard to recreate because now I’ve seen it back and I have this like new self-awareness. I think I would be a lot more reserved in terms of showing what I did because I did not expect the reaction from the public. That I experienced both such positive and negative reactions and that is weird. I don’t think I’m overly eager to return. I kind of want to just move forward with my life and be normal again but I’m happy I had the experience!”.
As they say…Never say never. If nothing else, Emily really found her feet and her game, grew a lot as a person and player on her season. This time will she take advantage of all the opportunities presented to her?

Jonathan Young
Fourth Place on 42
The ultimate challenge beast Jonathan could be seen as a threat early on depending if we are playing by old school or new school mentality. He needs a better social game so as not to push potential allies away.

Colby Donaldson
Runner-Up The Australian Outback
Twelfth Place: All-Stars
Fifth Place: Heroes versus Villains
Let’s face it. Colby is a wonderful Survivor personality but…his gameplay has been chaotic. Which Colby will we get? The competitive, dominant Colby or the laid back, take it as it goes, Colby?

Q Burdette
Sixth: 46
He just isn’t built for this game unless he has turned over a new leaf. He was kept around for so long last time because he rubbed people the wrong way.

Tiffany Ervin
Eighth: 46
She knows when to make a move and when to hold back. Will that ability guide her through the 50 game?
