Shemar Moore has announced that he will be returning to The Young and the Restless.
The star who got his start on Y&R back in 1994 will be returning to our screens for a two-show appearance on September 9th and 10th. With only two-episodes, we assume it’s not enough time to get his character, Malcolm, in the middle of any trouble. However, this is the first time Moore has been back to the show in almost 10 years after a rush exit.
Thursday, Moore posted the following excited message on Instagram:
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS!!!! My FIRST HOME in Hollywood!! 20 YEARS ago my DREAM of becoming an actor came true when I was cast as MALCOLM WINTERS.. The younger brother of NIEL WINTERS played to this day by MY FRIEND, KRISTOFF ST JOHN… YnR FANS, MACOLM IS COMING HOME!!! I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED to rejoin my YnR FAMILY.. Even just for a short time. But hopefully NOT THE LAST TIME…. MALCOLM IS COMING HOME!!!!!
According to Michael Fairman, the episodes, “Malcolm returns to Genoa City after leaving town years before without a proper goodbye. Now, he’s back for an important visit with the Winters family to make amends and catch up on everything he’s missed.”
And just in case you’re wondering, there has been no word yet on whether Shemar Moore will have his shirt off in any of the scenes he’s in, so here’s one for you:
