The Meredith Vieira Show
Get excited, inspired and wired. One of America’s most beloved personalities is coming home to daytime.
Starting September 8, Meredith Vieira will welcome millions of viewers into her "home" each day as she debuts this year's most talked about daytime program: the exciting, new self-titled "The Meredith Vieira Show."
Produced from Studio 6A at New York City’s legendary 30 Rock, the show will be filmed on a set that resembles Vieira’s actual home, complete with family photos, artwork from her three kids, and even her own comfy furniture, including the family’s favorite couch and husband Richard’s treasured La-Z-Boy chair (with his blessing, of course). Each day, Vieira will draw on her rich experience as a news anchor, journalist, wife, mother, caregiver, friend and pet lover to create the ultimate daytime viewing destination.
Having served as one of the most respected news anchors on “Today," Vieira has a unique talent for asking the right questions that help get to the heart of any story. She will leverage those journalistic talents as she hosts uplifting, fun, emotional and interesting human interest segments that feature both celebrity guests and everyday people who have extraordinary stories to tell. Vieira will approach every segment with her signature "heat, heart and humour" that will leave the audience laughing, learning something new and always feeling inspired.
The party at Vieira’s home will never stop as close friend Jon Harris (he knows all the secrets) serves as the show’s official announcer, providing the perfect welcome to the start of the show. Musician Everett Bradley, percussionist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street band, creates the party’s soundtrack. Bradley will be backed by an impressive all-female band, a first for television.
