The Late Show Features One of the Sexiest Men Alive, David Harbor

Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, David Harbour stopped by to talk about dad bods, mullets and the coldest place on earth.

David Harbour has been having a moment: he hosted Saturday Night Live a couple months ago; he’s Hellboy; next year he’ll star in a Marvel film. Oh, and he’s been named one of the sexiest men alive.

He’s been acting for ages, but it’s been the last few years or so, since his landing a gig on Stranger Things, that he’s really getting the recognition he’s deserved. So good on him, he should enjoy his moment!

Harbour is so on right now that he’s changing lanes. Mostly known as an actor, Harbour is taking a dive into literature. He’s working on a book. It’s about halfway done, and he says it has to be just about the hardest thing he’s done.

Sounds like it’s going to be powerful, though. Keep an eye out for it at your local library!

But despite, or maybe because of, being on the top of the world right now, Colbert felt the need to bring Harbour down a peg. He started with the flattery, but it went sideways, and Colbert kind of lost control of the conversation. That conversation was about David Harbour’s hair, of all things.

When people are asked where the last place on earth they’d like to be is, their answer is usually (and should be) Antarctica (if they remember it exists). You know, because it’s very cold in Antarctica. And it’s a chore to get to. Just ask David Harbour, who recently spent an amount of time there, and maybe an even longer amount of time getting there. Because he went there by boat. And it sounds awful.

But to each his own; forced-fasting and sleep deprivation for eighty hours to visit the most uncomfortable place on earth might not be your cup of tea, but there are people like Harbour out there who like it. Apparently.

And as quickly as binge-able short-season television show on some streaming service, he’s gone. But he’ll be back – people can’t seem to get enough of David Harbour, so may as well embrace that.
