14 Years of NCIS: LA
NCIS: LA is celebrating it’s 300th episode, airing Sunday, May 8 at 9.00 et/pt on Global!
Chris O’Donnell has been on The Late Show many times before, but not for a while now! His last appearance was 2018, which not only feels like another lifetime ago, but another world. In the meantime, he’s still been making more and more NCIS: LA episodes, primarily as lead actor, but also occasionally as director!
But as Colbert points out – that’s a lot of Naval crime in 14 years. How do they keep it so fresh after 300 episodes?
They’re not even one of the longest running primetime shows yet. They’re getting close, but it’s going to be hard to top The Simpsons…
But NCIS: LA has been such a big part of O’Donnell’s life, that his life has infiltrated NCIS: LA. All but one of his immediate family members has been on camera on the show! No speaking lines mind you, but that doesn’t mean they can’t disrupt the set…
They can’t all be veteran actors like O’Donnell though, can they?
Speaking Of… Working With Al Pacino?
Chris O’Donnell worked with Hollywood legend Al Pacino for half of a year way back in 1992. The film was Scent of a Woman, and for O’Donnell, it was six months of anxiety.
Sure, maybe in 1992 emotionally alienating your coworkers was a fun and hip thing to do, but our mental health awareness now is a lot more advanced. Don’t mentally manipulate your coworkers to get better performance from them at work, Al! Just don’t do it!
