This weekend Saturday Night Live enjoyed host Regé-Jean Page… a little bit too much.
Regé-Jean Page is not the Duke of Hastings
Host Regé-Jean Page is currently best known for his role in the series Bridgerton, as the character Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. And let’s just say that his character is what they would call in 19th century England a “babe magnet”. And Page is determined to distance himself from being seen as just that type. But despite his best efforts, the ladies at SNL can’t help but swoon over him during his monologue.
They joked about it, but yeah, a lot of the rest of the show was about how handsome Regé-Jean Page is.
Britney Spears Makes Ted Cruz Apologize
So this is a weird setup that just screams classic 1990s SNL. In the episode’s cold open, Chloe Fineman play Britney Spears for her own talk show “Oops You Did It Again” and gives opportunity for guests to apologize. Her guests include Ted Cruz – who after the past week, come on, SNL couldn’t not give their take on him – and Gina Carano, who is anything but apologetic. But even she refers to Cruz as a pile of soup, which is a pretty great insult and weirdly appropriate for Ted Cruz.
None of her guests are all that innocent.
Saturday Night Live can be streamed live and On Demand on the new Global TV App and on STACKTV. Global is also available through all major TV service providers.
