That’s right, it’s Trump time again as Alec Baldwin opens this week’s episode of SNL as President of the United States, Donald Trump. On topic this week is his choice to bomb Syria, coal mining, governmental health and child care. We all know Baldwin won’t be around to play Trump forever – he said so himself not too long ago – so cherish each cold open he does!
The real excitement however came later in the episode. We got an extra little bit of Baldwin this week as he hung around to also be Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly – who is blatantly obtuse about his recent sexual assault controversies – interviewing Donald Trump also played by Alec Baldwin! It’s double the Baldwin without having to deal with the inferior Stephen or Billy.
Comedian Louis C.K. hosted SNL this week. It’s always great to see comedians up there. They just have the timing and know how to hit the funny marks the way some dramatic actors don’t. His monologue was a typical Louis standup, teetering the line between edgy and goofy.
The gang at SNL couldn’t help but make fun of Pepsi along with everyone else this week. Beck Bennett is featured as the infamous commercial’s director, who becomes aware of its problematic nature moments before Kendall Jenner’s shoot.
Be sure to catch next week’s Saturday Night Live hosted by Jimmy Fallon on Saturday, April 15 at 11.30 et/pt on Global!
