Memphis wished Kevin a happy birthday today by nominating him for eviction and for good measure he put his ally Da’Vonne on the block beside him.
Memphis gave Kevin his reasoning in the HoH room.
“It’s a game and we’ve got a week. To be blatantly honest with you, Kevin, I was planning on keeping you last week and then she (Da’Vonne) used the power on you,” he said. “For me, it is an easy excuse in a game where I need some excuse otherwise I would have been pulling an excuse out of my ass.”
Memphis said he targeted Kevin because it was an “easy lay-up”.
“I am still trying to play the game and get as far as I can get and if this is how far I can go then that is my destiny,” replied Kevin.
“From someone who took himself off the block four times I don’t think this is the end of the road,” said Memphis trying to motivate Kevin or at least make him not feel so bad.
Earlier in the day, Memphis met with Da’Vonne and Kevin’s ally David and offered him a deal.
“So this is what I want to talk to you about. If you want a seat at the table, you’ve got it but here’s the deal and this is a straight-up business deal. Listen carefully, the deal goes like this if we shake hands and you promise me you will not play the veto and you keep my nominations the same then I will keep your ass off the block,” said Memphis.
“The biggest point of this deal is that you cannot talk about it. You cannot tell anyone that we made this deal and just so we are clear, nobody else knows about this. Not one person. So, if I hear something I know it is coming straight from you and you will be public enemy number one. I will make a point of it. I think our rapport has gotten better,” Memphis continued.
Memphis and David shook on the deal.
