Chicago Med season extended

Chicago Med season extended

This is a week of good news for fans of great TV:  Supergirl‘s season was extended, The Blacklist was renewed for a fourth season, and now Chicago Med has been confirmed for an 18-episode season!

Chicago Med, from executive producer Dick Wolf, has been off to a running start. It came in hot with an explosive backdoor pilot during the third season of Chicago Fire, in which we met Dr. Halstead, Dr. Charles, Nurse Sexton, and Sharon Goodwin as they dealt with an act of chemical warfare in the ER.

And since its official premiere on November 17, Chicago Med has only gained steam. In the second half of Season 1, TV vet Carl Lumbly will join the cast as Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epatha Merkerson) ailing husband, Bert. With new faces, possible blossoming romance between Drs. Manning and Halstead, and a revolving door of lives to save and medical mysteries to solve – it’s looking like Chicago Med’s first season will only get better.
