This Week it was Two for the Price of One | Week 5 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments | Season 38: Edge of Extinction

You have got to like the Survivor BOGO episodes. We get two victims for the price of one. This BOGO saw two uncompromising players head for a pit stop on Extinction Island, a place that is getting more and more delightful as the episodes roll on by. Whether she returns to the game or not Wendy Diaz will go down as a true Survivor original. She is definitely not the best player to ever step foot on the island but her BIG personality and chaotic gameplay are one of a kind.

The Tribes Switch and so Do the Alliances | Week 4 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments | Season 38: Edge of Extinction

You cannot trick the Survivor gods. They will always get their pound of flesh. Even though the producers switched up the tribes on last night’s episode the gods wouldn’t be denied. You could hear them laughing off in the distance as Wendy Diaz stayed on Manu, the entire Manu Tribe went to the new Lesu Tribe, Lesu lost the Immunity Challenge and Rick Devens was voted out.

Chickens and Moving Targets Have the Survivors All Fired Up | Week 3 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments | Season 38: Edge of Extinction

Once upon a time there was a Survivor tribe. On that tribe was a castaway who injured her ankle. That castaway also stole the tribe’s flint and argued with everyone when it came to eating one of their hens. Despite all of this, that tribe didn’t vote her off leaving the Survivor gods very puzzled indeed.

Shields, they come in all shapes and sizes. Being a social, athletic or strategic threat can work to your advantage if you can position yourself appropriately in Survivor. Time is always crucial commodity and being used as a shield can buy you more of it. More time to plan. More time to prove your worth. More time to build those relationships which could make the difference between addressing the final Tribal Council or addressing what you want for dinner at the Survivor base camp.

Survivor is Back Driving Players to the Edge of Extinction | Week 1 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments

If the late B.B. Anderson from the first season of Survivor were still with us today he might have some sympathy for Reem Daly. Anderson’s extreme work ethic and prickly attitude made him a target on the Pagong Tribe but what really pushed his fellow castaways over the edge was when he washed his clothes with the tribe’s drinking water. The laundry blunder wasn’t the real reason he was voted out but it was the final straw that broke the backs of Gervase, Colleen, Gretchen, Jenna, Joel and Ramona.

It was the boldest move yet this season. Gabby Pascuzzi turned on her trusted ally and also biggest target left in the game, Christian Hubicki. Unfortunately, as they tend to do on Survivor, the scheme didn’t go exactly as planned. Davie warned Christian. Christian played his Hidden Immunity Idol and the others threw their votes onto Gabby ending her game.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath Scoop – Week 11 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments

I suspect many of you may be wondering what that loud WHACK! you heard was during Survivor: David vs. Goliath last night? Well, that was the sound a karma boomerang makes when it strikes its target with a satisfying bullseye. With visions of sugar plums and big Survivor moves dancing in her head, Gabby Pascuzzi did elect to turn on her one true ally, her one true friend in the game: Christian Hubicki. Not only did Gabby stab him in the back but she insisted that all of Christian’s goodwill throughout the game towards her wasn’t genuine.

Survivor’s Alec Merlino Praises His Allies
Survivor's Alec Merlino Praises His Allies in Post-Tribal Exit Interview | Season 37: David vs. Goliath

He ducked and darted his way through the game with finesse rarely seen on Survivor. Alec Merlino though is quick to admit that it was the people he was playing the game with who made it easier for him to be a double agent and anticipate which side, which alliance he needed to get close to every week after the merger.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath Scoop – Week 10 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments

Forget Black Friday. Never mind Cyber Monday. Survivor: David vs. Goliath had a two-for-one deal on evictions last night.
Carl Boudreaux  ‘The Godfather’ and Alec Merlino became the latest members of the jury clearly signifying that the old tribal lines have truly been erased. In one of the very strangest Survivor exits ever, Carl not only figured he could continually boss around people in his alliance but he could guzzle beer like it was spring water on a reward, reveal his plans to Kara Kay about voting out one of her allies and for her to agree, support the plan. Perhaps the truck driver from Texas has been inhaling too much carbon monoxide if he thought he wouldn’t face any repercussions for those kinds of mistakes.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath Scoop – Week 9 Recap: Winners, Losers, Top Moments

As Jeff Probst said himself a David is someone who hasn’t been given any advantages. They have to scratch and claw throughout their lives just to get ahead, just to survive. If you are just tuning into Survivor: David vs. Goliath, you would have to be forgiven if you thought the David Tribe were the Goliaths and vice versa considering all of the advantages in play. Another week, another Tribal Council and another player gets taken out of the game due to an advantage. Actually, make that multiple advantages.
