Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, star of NCIS: New Orleans Scott Bakula sat at Stephen’s desk to chat sci-fi, career mistakes, nudity and horses. Bakula currently stars in the second spin-off of NCIS as Detective Dwayne Pride. The series is going into its third season, premiering tonight on Global at 10:00 et/pt, with new episodes Tuesdays on Global at 10:00 et/pt.
Stephen started off by fanboying out over Bakula’s starring role as Sam Beckett in the much underloved and underwatched 1990s sci-fi series Quantum Leap.
The NCIS: New Orleans star later went on to confess his short lived and wholly deceptive career in modelling – yes, that time he was in an issue of Playgirl (for the curious, Bakula did not pose nude in the March 1995 issue of Playgirl – just shirtless to accompany an interview).
As if that little revelation wasn’t enough to close out his interview, Bakula got up with Jon Batiste and Stay Human – house band for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert – to sing in classic New Orleans style (since the start of filming NCIS: New Orleans, Bakula has become intimately enraptured and familiar with its music scene).
