Week of April 2, 2012

Love triangles and exposed secrets keep Salem in disarray.

Sami convinced Lucas to stick around Salem for a while. Arguing ensues and sparks continue to fly and they discuss EJ. Carrie tries to sort out her feelings for both Rafe and Austin. After she decides Rafe is her future, some startling baby news stands in the way of her happiness. Following Rafe's revelation that he is the father of Nicole's baby, Sami is completely torn apart. Sami is startled to learn that EJ is her new neighbour. Lucas is not pleased by the turn of events and believes EJ has a hidden agenda where Sami is concerned. 
  

Abe and Lexie celebrated their anniversary and commiserated over Stefano's scheming ways. Lexie got dizzy and passed out. Celeste returned to town and was frantic to save her daughter after her tarot cards revealed that Lexie is in danger. Rattled by Celeste's urgency, Lexie agreed to go to the hospital to get checked out. Daniel ran some tests which determined that Lexie has an inoperable brain tumour. Abe comforted Lexie as she ponders the future.

Daniel and Billie continue with their flirtation as she continues to work undercover to expose the DiMeras.

Stefano continued with his plan for Princess Gina and The Pawn. In his quest for the Anastasia Egg he rigs a poker game forcing Gina and The Pawn to get the egg to him immediately. John and Hope remember their loved ones back home in Salem. When Kate fails Stefano's "test," she turns to Ian for comfort and the two share a passionate moment. 

Marlena tries to protect Will from EJ. Will finally opened up about who he is and how he feels leaving Marlena relieved.

Abigail meets Lexi's half-brother, Cameron, whose first meeting with Lexie doesn't go as planned.

• Renee Jones who plays Lexie Carver has opted to leave the show and quit acting claiming she's lost her passion for the business. Lexie's demise will be a shocking one!

• Former co-executive producer, Gary Tomlin and former DAYS co-head writer, Christopher Whitesell hired as new head writers.
