The Conner family is rushing to get Allen’s (Enrico Colantoni) house in shape. It’s a fitting end to a hectic day. Melissa almost lost a patient on the table, only to have her recover suddenly and without explanation. Griffin (Dillon Casey) was paid an unwelcome visit from an old friend, and Brian offended a colleague on his way to saving a patient’s leg from unnecessary amputation. Lost in the midst of all this is Sandy. She’s been desperately searching for a family member of Mrs. Delormer, an ICU patient who is about to be taken off of life support. When Brian can’t understand why Sandy (Sarah Allen) wants someone to be at her deathbed with her, Sandy has finally had enough of Brian’s insensitivity, loses it on him in front of everyone, and shirks the family dinner in favour of Mrs. Delormer.
