SEASON 6: It's the Bravermans' farewell season. Although each sibling and family has its own share of life and everyday challenges to grapple with, they still manage to be there for each other in their hours of need.
Sarah Braverman (Lauren Graham) is a single mother with two kids: bright but rebellious Amber (Mae Whitman), who is living on her own, and sullen and sensitive Drew (Miles Heizer) who heads to Berkeley this year.
On the home front, Sarah's larger-than-life, headstrong father, Zeek (Craig T. Nelson), and pillar-of-strength mother, Camille (Bonnie Bedelia), are continuously dealing with their own marital issues.
Meanwhile, as Sarah's sister and complete antithesis, Julia (Erika Christensen), attempts to adjust to life as a full-time mom after recently quitting her job as high-powered attorney, her husband Joel (Sam Jaeger) leans into his new role as breadwinner. These pressures are compounded by friction between their daughter, Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae), and their recently adopted son, Victor (Xolo Mariduena).
Crosby (Dax Shepard), Sarah's younger brother who once struggled with commitment issues, is now married to former flame Jasmine (Joy Bryant). Together, they are raising their young son, Jabbar (Tyree Brown), and new baby Aida.
However, it's oldest Braverman sibling Adam (Peter Krause) who has had to relinquish his expectations about what constitutes a "normal" family; he and his quietly forceful and resilient wife Kristina (Monica Potter) - more devoted than ever, having recently battled and defeated her breast cancer - continue to cope with their eccentric son, Max (Max Burkholder), who has Asperger's Syndrome, while raising a toddler. Their eldest is now living away from home at college across the country.
