FATHERHOOD DREAMS
November 17, 2007 - 10PM
For the vast majority of Canadians, the reality is that we've never met a family with gay fathers, never spent a day in their house, and never spoke to a child raised by gay parents. In the film, three families with gay fathers open themselves to judgment: Scott, a single gay man, is on a mission to start his family, so he finds a surrogate and prepares to welcome his twin children into the world. Randy and Drew adopt baby Jack from an Albertan family headed by Tracy, a 36 year-old grandmother of four and foster parent to three. Stephen, a gay man, is co-parenting his children, Jazz and Kizea, with their lesbian mothers, Wendy and Coreen. All three families may be unusual but are these gay men any different from traditional fathers?
