This summer, Eco-Heroes are coming to the Calgary Public Library! The 2009 CO-OP Summer Reading Adventure will follow Captain Capable, Clay and Terra in their quest to defeat the evil Dr. N. Danger as he tries to take over the world by destroying the environment. Starting June 18 and continuing until August 28, you will be able to pick up game pages from your local Library branch every second week. June 22 - 29, 2009. The Calgary Jazz Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with a star studded line-up of more than fifty artists, including world-renowned saxophonist Branford Marsalis, nu-groove improvisers Medeski, Martin and Wood, and King Sunny Ade showcasing the roots of jazz in a dance-inspiring hybrid of jazz, pop and traditional African music. This year’s Festival will light up the streets, clubs and theatres downtown and along Stephen Avenue with music from jazz legends and fresh new artists.
