Then made sure to stop in for a spot of tea at Ian Fleming's White Cliffs cottage.
Ian Fleming purchased the cottage from his friend Noel Coward in 1951. The cottage, sited almost on the beach at St Margaret's Bay in Kent is almost unchanged externally. In his 007 book "Moonraker" (1955) part of the story is set in and around St Margaret's and nearby Kingsdown. The evil Drax had built his secret rocket installation into the cliffs further north from the cottage towards Kingsdown.
