The six-part original Canadian documentary series Walk the Walk celebrates and honours inspirational everyday heroes by surprising them with a visit from a Canada's Walk of Fame Inductee they have long admired. Walk the Walk begins on Saturday, October 12 at 10 et/pt with two back-to-back episodes each week until the finale on Saturday, October 26.
Canada’s Walk of Fame boasts a long list of remarkable celebrities including Grammy® Award-winner Nelly Furtado, rock icons Rush and Tom Cochrane, legendary boxer George Chuvalo, world champion figure skater Kurt Browning and prima ballerina Sonia Rodriguez. These inductees pay heartfelt and emotional visits to exceptional Canadian heroes who are making a positive difference in society and pitch in to offer support and advice to further their cause.
The six heroes featured include a fund-raising father, who in one year lost his wife and son to cancer; a prodigious young beat poet, who uses words not guns to end violence and inspire change; a woman who dedicates her life to training athletes with intellectual disabilities to help make their Olympic dreams a reality; a dynamic sister act who provide developmentally delayed children the joy of dance; a dedicated drummer and music teacher who is passionate about teaching special needs students; and a couple who runs an organization that uses boxing to reach out to and help at-risk youth.
