How do this season’s final five stack up against former players?

Kim Spradlin
Player she’s most like: (Boston) Rob Mariano, Survivor: Marquesas, All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains, and Redemption Island
Fondly referred to as “Kimpossible” on Survivor message boards, Kim has proven that she’s got it all. She’s clever, cunning, athletic, and apparently able to manipulate people into sabotaging their own games just by batting her baby blues. Much like Boston Rob, Kim has controlled almost every single vote and made side alliances with just about every player. The question is, is she Boston Rob in All-Stars, or Boston Rob in Redemption Island? Will she stay loyal à la All Stars and take BFFs Chelsea and Sabrina (the new Ambers) to the end, or will she wisen up and take jury goats Alicia and Christina (this season’s Natalie and Phillip)? More importantly, will the jury be full of bitter Lexes, incapable of getting past the hurt of their own betrayals, or David Murphys, still hypnotized by their leader and ready to recognize masterful gameplay?
Alicia Rosa
Player she’s most like: Jean-Robert Bellande, Survivor: China
Special ed teacher Alicia and the self-proclaimed “Bad Boy of Poker” Jean-Robert have two things in common: massive egos, and a total lack of self-awareness. Luckily for us viewers, this makes for great TV. So far, Alicia has been more than happy to tell the cameras that she’s fully in control of the game and that everyone around her is an idiot. But like Jean-Robert, her greatest challenge may come after the million dollar vote when she tries to reconstruct her credibility in the workplace after the show has aired.
Chelsea Meissner
Player she’s most like: Danni Boatwright, Survivor: Guatemala
If Chelsea wins, she’ll be a Danni Boatwright type figure: athletic, but not really in control of the game. If she loses, she’ll be forgotten. Granted, Chelsea does well in challenges and caught two chickens with her bare hands back in episode one. No doubt she’s athletic, and has some outdoor survival skills. But Survivor isn’t a camping trip, and her insistence on staying loyal to Kim and doing “what’s moral” suggests she might not have the killer instant needed to snatch the top prize.
Sabrina Thompson
Player she’s most like: Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, Survivor: Marquesas and All Stars
Like Kathy, Sabrina is bright, likeable, and willing to lead. Despite mediocre challenge performances and being voted the person who does the least work around camp, she is still respected by all of her tribemates. In Marquesas, this kind of charisma and popularity got Kathy voted out shortly before the final tribal council. Could Sabrina be subject to the same fate, or will she vote out Kim before it’s too late?
Christina Cha
Player she’s most like: Danielle DiLorenzo, Survivor: Exile Island and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains
It is unclear whether Christina has ever seen an episode of Survivor. While most players strive to strategize hard while looking like they’re not strategizing at all, Christina actually tries to appear to be strategizing while doing nothing at all. Could she be the Danielle DiLorenzo of this season? That person who floats her way to the end, but doesn’t know why she’s there, and all along, really just wanted to star in a movie with Coach? In fairness to Christina, you have to give her props for surviving the elements and Alicia. And unlike other players (*cough* Chelsea), Christina can’t be accused of riding coattails, because she hasn’t found any to ride. The woman goes through alliances faster than Tarzan goes through women’s shirts.
