About
Rookie Blue
Last season, these rookies hit the streets for the first time
with their training officers - and learned how to walk the thin
blue line. Now, the training wheels are off; they're more
experienced and ready to kick some serious butt. But these rookies
are just beginning to realize that when it comes to getting good at
this job, there are no shortcuts. And when you're a rookie officer,
a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
After seven months as first responders on the beat, they've
learned how to be cops. They've talked people down, kicked in
doors, driven fast, shot guns, kept people safe and saved each
other in the process. They've experienced a learning curve that's
steeper than they ever imagined, and they've learned first-hand
that a rookie mistake could cost them their life - or someone
else's.
In their next seven months on the job they'll do it again, only…
better.
