Ring the alarm, we have a guest star alert!

The anticipation for Season 4 of Glee just keeps getting grander. Fox recently announced Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson have both signed on for multiple episode arcs in the upcoming season of Glee! In addition to Parker and Hudson, Glee will introduce several new cast members as students of McKinley High. Kate Hudson has reportedly signed on for six episodes, and Sarah Jessica Parker for a 'multi-episode arc'. The pair of A-listers will be joining an esteemed list of Glee celebrity alumni including fellow mega-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, and Britney Spears.

(Glee is) poised for a real creative renaissance. Several characters are graduating, we're going to have a show within a show, following some characters to New York to a school for the arts.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson both have musical backgrounds. Sarah Jessica Parker began her career in showbiz after landing a role on Broadway playing the lead role in Annie and Kate Hudson starred in the movie-musical Nine. Of course, we're hoping this means these two songstresses will be belting out a few musical numbers during their guest roles on Glee! And in other guest star news, in the next episode of Glee (Tuesday night at 8.00 et/pt), Lindsay Lohan will be joining the Gleeks  (alongside Glee super-fan and blogger Perez Hilton) in a two hour episode that brings us back to nationals.
