    Gene

    Played by Eugene Mirman

Eugene Mirman plays Gene, the middle child. Gene is an aspiring musician and a prankster who serves up more jokes than burgers. He also goes to Wagstaff Middle School.

Mirman is a comedian, writer and filmmaker who is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed cable series "Flight of the Conchords," the animated show "Home Movies" and the live-action series "Delocated."

Mirman has performed on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and in his own cable special "Comedy Central Presents Eugene Mirman." He has also taken his act on the road, performing at Aspen's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, Montreal's Just For Laughs and Austin's South by Southwest. Additionally, he has performed as part of Patton Oswalt's Comedians of Comedy and toured with Yo La Tengo, Modest Mouse, The Shins, Cake, John Wesley Harding, Flight of the Conchords and Stella.

He recently released his third album, "God is a Twelve-Year-Old Boy with Asperger's," and published a book, "The Will to Whatevs," an outlandish self-help guide to modern life. This past September marked the return of the third annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, the first-ever ironic and sincere comedy festival in Brooklyn.

Born in Russia, Mirman moved to the U.S. as a child and attended Hampshire College. He currently lives in New York.
