After 13 seasons of watching dramatic houseguests rip each other and the house apart, Canadians finally have the chance to wreak havoc in their very own Big Brother house.

During Shaw Media's upfronts on Wednesday, the big announcement was made that Shaw Mediahad sealed the deal with Endemol to produce the first ever Canadian edition of Big Brother.

The first ever season of Big Brother will air exclusively on Slice in 2013. The unscripted, real life dramatic show has kept audiences entertained since it aired July 2000, and has become a phenomenon across the globe with 25 formats in 87 countries!

Big Brother Canada will stay true to the U.S format with multiple cameras following the houseguests' every move, and casting a wide range of interesting characters. However, one major twist will be the audiences' participation in the actions of the houseguests. Fans will be able to digitally engage and impact the decisions in the house.
