With so much Spidey coming your way, why not make a night of it? We have games, recipes, and more to get your party-senses tingling for a totally Spider-Man themed Saturday night!
Movie Games
Whether you're planning a family-friendly or adults only theme night we have devised a fool-proof and totally easy game to play while you watch Spider-Man 3. Take note of the list below and sip your super-sour drink every time one of the listed events occur. This game is best played drinking Radioactive Punch (see recipe below). Here are the rules:
- Every time someone accidentally refers to Edie Brock (Topher Grace) as "Eric Forman"
- Every time Mary Jane looks jealous because of Gwen Stacy
- Every time someone points out a celebrity in the movie
- Every time someone begins a sentence with "well, in the comic/television show..."
How-to Make Radioactive Punch
Ingredients:
- (1) bottle of Mountain Dew
- (1) pint of Blueberries
- (2) cups of Orange Juice
- (4) Lemons
Freeze the OJ into ice cubes. Pour the Mountain Dew into a jug (you can make your own "radioactive" label and stick it on if you like!). Cut your lemons in half and squeeze the juice into the Mountain Dew. This will make this punch super-sour, so you can exclude the lemon if you don't want to play the Spider-Man movie game! Add the pint of blueberries and your frozen orange juice ice cubs. Serve cold.
Optional: Add your favourite liquor to the mix
Snacks
No theme party would be complete without appropriate theme snacks. Try making strings of popcorn and create your very own edible spiderwebs. For the more ambitious, why not try making a Spider-Man pizza?
Spider-Man Pizza
Ingredients:
- (1) ready-made pizza crust
- (1) can of your favourite pizza sauce
- (1) brick of mozzarella cheese
- (1/2) cup of black olives
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees. Have an image of Spidey ready for reference. Cut the pizza crust in an oval to roughly resemble the shape of a face. Spread your pizza sauce to cover the oval. Using your Spider-Man image for reference, place your mozzarella cheese to outline the web-seams of the Spidey mask. Create two large pockets of mozzarella cheese to resemble the eyes, and outline with black olives. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Serve as one big pizza, or trying following the same recipe using smaller ovals for personalized mini Spidey pizzas!
Activities
Thinking of activities to play before the feature begins is always a great way of rounding out a theme night. Why not make a Spider-Man themed photo booth? Guests can pose inside an over-sized Daily Bugle replica. For the more adventurous: why not attempt to replicate the infamous upside down Spider-Man kiss for an unforgettable photo-op?
