The Young and the Restless
News: As most of you have heard by now, Sean
Young is extending her stay in Genoa City as the bartender who
attempted to pick up Victor. Young was only supposed to be on the
soap for five episodes, but starting this week she'll be back for
more episodes until the end of August. Maybe Y&R is
thinking of doing something with her and Victor and extending their
premature "love affair."
Eric Roberts, (whose sister is Oscar winner Julia Roberts) is a
veteran in the soap opera world. He got his start in soaps in 1977
and then took a 33 year leave from daytime dramas to continue onto
movies and primetime. But now he's returning to
Y&R as ruthless attorney Vance Abrams who will be
defending the crazy villain Adam, in the case that is shocking
Genoa City. Is Vance a villain himself? I think it's going to be
one of those "judge for yourself" storylines.
There was recently a shocking report that the actor who plays
Neil Winters, Kristoff St. John may be departing Y&R.
There's been months of speculating over what St.John will be doing,
but he's adamant that he's staying put. According to an article,
St. John signed out of his contract with Y&R and may
be working on a new comedy pilot by the Wayans Brothers. Kristoff
refuted this on his facebook page where he updated his status to
say, "As of right now, today, I am not leaving The Young
and The Restless. I love my daytime home and treasure it. I
love all of you and thank you for your beautiful support." I'm sure
we'll be hearing about his departure in a few months.
Turns out that Susan Seaforth Hayes - best known to soap fans as
Julie on Days of our Lives- will reprise the role of
Joanna Manning, Lauren's mom, later this summer, and set to tape
her scenes later this month. Did Joanna know that her late
ex-husband, Neil, had fathered Jill?
Spoilers: Nikki is surprised by Victor's
proposition, and Christine sets about making things right.
Ashley and Tucker decide on a course of action, Ryder falls into
legal trouble and Ronan's secret plan is revealed.
Days Of Our Lives

News: Stacy Haiduk, who plays two roles on
The Young and the Restless has not had her contract
renewed and now she's heading over to Days of our Lives.
Haiduk who played both Emily Patterson and Patty Williams was not
asked to remain on the show but, Maria Arena Bell, head writer of
Y&R said she may be back in the future. She'll exit
the show on August 6 and go on to play a prison guard on Days
of our Lives.
As many high paid actors and actresses are making their exits
from soaps, there's relief that Kristian Alfonso who plays
Hope Brady will be sticking around Salem for a while longer. NBC
confirms that her contract has been renewed with the daytime
drama. "It's always nice to be invited back," says Alfonso of her
new contract deal. Alfonso has been with the soap on and off
since 1983.
Spoilers: Stephanie and Nathan plan to move in
together. Chloe thinks telling the truth may be her only answer.
Arianna tells EJ she trusts him with her life. Kate urges Chad to
speak to his father, and Vivian interferes in Victor and Maggie's
relationship. Daniel discovers Bo lying unconscious. Rafe breaks
into Nicole's apartment.
